Patriots player Jabrill Peppers arrested by Braintree police – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BRAINTREE, MASS. (WHDH) – Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers was arrested by Braintree police on Saturday, 7NEWS sources confirmed.

A statement from Braintree police said officers were called to a home in the city early Saturday morning by a caller who reported an argument between two people. Police said Peppers, 29, was taken into custody.

A spokesman for the Patriots did not immediately respond to a request for comment. However, sources said that the person arrested was the same Jabrill Peppers, who plays for the team.

According to police, Peppers will be in court Monday charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation and possession of cocaine.

An eight-year NFL veteran, Peppers arrived in New England in 2022 and signed a new contract with the team in 2023. He played 36 games as a Patriot.

The Peppers didn't play in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins.
