Preseason game thread October 3, 2024: New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers

Welcome to the end of preseason hockey for the New Jersey Devils. You don't have to wait long for games that count. The regular season starts tomorrow. The exhibition game is just that: an exhibition of devils who are not in Prague. Please play well one last time and don't let yourself get hurt.

The song of the evening: One of the best games of all time with school participation is Harass. Also known as Canis Canem Edit in Europe. Rumors of a sequel circulated, but for the most part it was wishful thinking. Oh. One of the reasons the game is so popular is its soundtrack, composed by Shawn Lee. It is a excellent Game OST and it highlights the tone and setting of the game. One of the standout tracks is “Defender of the Castle,” which is primarily set in a mission between the nerd clique and the jock clique, with music referencing both themes. You know what? Just listen to the whole thing. It is all Good.

The rules: The rules remain unchanged as the Devils complete their preseason. Please use clear language (that means don't curse, don't mask it, it's not enough, no I don't care what Tom Fitzgerald said), respect your fellow Devils fans without personal attacks (play You nice, otherwise you won't play).
