Raiders owner Tom Brady will not be prevented from attending Raiders games

Remember when ESPN sent former Eagles center Jason Kelce to the locker room for an extended period of the Falcons-Eagles game in Week 2? Well, you haven't seen anything yet.

The NFL confirmed during a conference call with reporters Thursday that Raiders minority owner Tom Brady will be allowed to work Raiders games as part of his job at Fox.

The good news is that the Raiders are not ranked No. 1 on any Fox broadcast. However, if that is the case, Brady – who owns part of the team and may be heavily involved in football operations – will be able to act in the supposedly neutral and objective role of game analyst.

It's frankly ridiculous. But it's not surprising. It's just another example of post-norm America, where things that were once clearly taboo have ended up in the thick of things There's nothing to see here Fairway.

The NFL had a chance to avoid this. And to their credit, they made a strong point by significantly limiting Brady's ability to attend practices and production meetings.

But Brady didn't take the hint, and neither owner was inclined to upset their “cool friend” by doing the right thing and preventing a clear conflict of interest from affecting coverage of the games Brady was working on.
