Rhodes and Reigns were united and the biggest takeaways from the WWE Bad Blood 2024 results | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

In Saturday's Bad Blood main event, Reigns and Rhodes attempted to put their rivalry aside to take on their mutual enemies Sikoa and Fatu.

The “American Nightmare” was played to the ring by a marching band and dancers from his hometown of Atlanta, but there was a slight error as his quote was played twice at the beginning of his entrance music. Reigns had a completely different orchestra for his performance.

The big question going into this fight was: “Can Rhodes and Reigns get along well enough to beat a combined duo as dangerous as Sikoa and Fatu?”

There was a lot of posturing to add some drama to the situation. There were long breaks in the game in the first half so they could sell something and act.

Rhodes and Reigns never seemed like best friends. They did a good job of conveying the tension between them, but still seemed momentarily united.

Bitter rivals don't always work well together, but The OTC and The American Nightmare have managed to deliver on their promise to have each other's backs. When it looked like the odds were too great, Jimmy Uso came back and helped distract Sikoa so Reigns could spear him for the win.

We even saw Jimmy and Reigns save Rhodes from defeat after the match. With Jey holding the IC title and Jimmy officially back, we could see a reformation of the original bloodline very soon.

Reigns and Rhodes were able to work together, Jimmy is back and the main event was a fun ride, but it wasn't over yet.

The Rock returned and seemed to hint at a plan to go after Reigns, Rhodes or both.
