Rumor Roundup: The Rock's return on Bad Blood, AEW TV deal money, GUNTHER, more!

Rumors for this day:

  • Speculation that The Rock will appear at tonight's WWE Bad Blood event in Atlanta has increased significantly after he posted on Instagram yesterday that he was in Georgia for the Apalachee High School Wildcats football game.
  • After WrestleVotes reported that AEW's new deal with WBD is worth closer to $185 million per year than the originally reported $150 million per year, both Andrew Zarian and Sean Ross Sapp confirmed Votes' report .
  • According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the deal is worth “$180 million in 2025, $185 million in 2026 and $190 million in 2027.” In addition, “WBD has built in an option year for the entire year of 2028 at a significantly higher number.”
  • The Observer asked why the world title match between GUNTHER and Sami Zayn was booked for next week's Raw and not Bad Blood. The answer is that Bad Blood “didn’t need this match to boost Raw.”
  • According to the latest betting odds from BetOnline, Nia Jax and Liv Morgan have a chance to retain their Bad Blood titles. CM Punk and Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns are also favored in their matches.
  • Fightful Select mentioned that Daniel Garcia was not backstage at recent AEW events. His contract expires this month and AEW has creative plans for him should he re-sign with the promotion.
