Rutgers Rant: Preview the big game in Washington, recap basketball media day

After taking care of non-conference business, Rutgers opens its Big Ten slate with arguably its biggest game in a decade.

The Scarlet Knights (3-0) host national runner-up Washington (3-1) at SHI Stadium on Friday evening in front of a national television audience. Head coach Greg Schiano's team will get off to a 4-0 start for the first time since the 2012 season, taking a significant step forward in what could be its best season since joining the conference.

Will Rutgers be able to pull off the win? The Rutgers Rant is back to discuss the matchup, what it means for the Scarlet Knights overall, and to share our predictions for how the contest will go. We also discuss Rutgers Basketball's local media day leading up to the highly anticipated 2024-25 season.
