The New Orleans Saints announced last-minute roster moves for their Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos, including placing standout wide receiver Rashid Shaheed on season-ending injured reserve. Here's what you need to know about each transaction:

WR Rashid Shaheed was placed on injured reserve

Shaheed's season is over after he underwent meniscus surgery in Los Angeles after injuring his knee late last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He faces a six-month recovery, so we'll see him again in 2025. This is a major blow to the New Orleans receiving corps, which is already missing Chris Olave (concussion).

WR Jermaine Jackson was signed from the practice squad

Jackson signed with the Saints as a rookie out of Idaho, and although he was initially released following roster cuts, he re-signed with the practice squad a few weeks later. Now he is the first choice to replace Shaheed on special teams.

WR Equanimeous St. Brown elevated for Week 7

St. Brown is a lone player this week, so he will return to the practice squad after the Broncos game. He is eligible to be called up for two more games before the Saints must sign him to the 53-man roster to continue playing him. He's a big target and they need bodies at receiver with both starters injured.

Abram is in the same boat as St. Brown, which means he will return to the practice squad after this game. But he used up his three promotion opportunities in a single game, meaning the Saints will have to sign him to the 53-man squad if they plan to activate him for more games this season. He took a lot of snaps at safety, so they might need him.
