San Francisco Fleet Week 2024 Schedule – NBC Bay Area

It's that time again. San Francisco Fleet Week is back.

The fall tradition is highlighted by the screaming Blue Angels in the sky, but there are plenty of other events to enjoy. Check out the guide below to learn more about Fleet Week events.

San Francisco Fleet Week is a “traditional naval service celebration” that gives Bay Area residents the opportunity to “experience firsthand today’s maritime capabilities,” according to organizers.

Approximately 2,500 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen from various ships, squadrons and military units will participate in the week-long event in San Francisco.

“San Francisco Fleet Week offers the public the opportunity to tour the ships and interact with military members as they showcase the capabilities of their ships, units and services,” organizers said in a statement. “It also gives the public an opportunity to better understand how the maritime services support the national defense of the United States and protect the freedom of the seas.”

Fleet Week is scheduled to take place from Monday, October 7th to Monday, October 14th.

Head to a location on San Francisco Bay between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz to see an exciting air show featuring the Blue Angels, a United Airlines 777, the US Navy Leap Frogs Parachute Team and more.

The Blue Angels arrived in the Bay Area on Sunday evening. The squadron will take part in a three-day air show later during Fleet Week.

Gaze out on the water near the Golden Gate Bridge to watch the fleet of ships arrive in the bay, accompanied by a San Francisco Fire Department boat shooting water into the air.
