Seattle Reign vs. Utah Royals: Game Thread

After three straight 0-1 losses, the Seattle Reign travels to Sandy, Utah to face the Utah Royals. The game begins at 2:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, as well as streamed on ESPN+ for fans in the U.S. and NWSL+ for international viewers.

The Reign faced Utah twice at home this season. Although the Reign dominated the game, they had to rely on a late goal to earn a 1-1 draw against the Royals in the regular season. The Reign swept Utah in the Summer Cup with a 2-1 victory at Lumen Field.

After Bay FC lost yesterday, it's Reign and Utah technically still in playoff contention, but need to win their next three games and cause other teams to drop a lot of points. Basically, the playoffs are not in sight, but the Reign want to finish the season strong.

Utah enters the weekend with a one-point lead over the Reign and a two-game winning streak. The Reign have lost their last four games.
