Serena Williams gives a parenting tip – the only one you need

Serena Williams, winner of 23 Grand Slam women's singles titles, sat down for an “INBOUND” interview with Kara Swisher on Thursday. When the host asked her for parenting tips during the interview, she admitted she didn't have any. However, she later humorously asked the audience for parenting tips. Shortly after, Serena Williams noted that to be a great parent, you just have to be there and be there for your children.

This is what Serena Williams says about raising children

In a recent interview with “INBOUND,” Serena Williams talked about raising her children in the digital age. She talked about how she tries to stay positive in a world full of negative energy. Williams said: “It's a scary world. For kids, it's a digital world right now.” The 42-year-old further revealed: “I'm always online with my daughter, but we don't let her on certain platforms.”

Williams then spoke about how everything is available online and how easy it is for children to access different content. She explained, “It's so interesting that everything is available online and children have access to it.” She continued, “You never know what can happen to them. Like I said, I try to think positive.”

When asked for parenting advice, Serena Williams replied, “I don't have any (advice).” And when talking about being a champion, the Olympic medalist added, “I think everyone is a champion. You don't have to win Wimbledon or a gold medal to be a champion… Being a champion is really just being there for your kids. I think that's a great champion.”

Williams also revealed that she tries to take it easy with electronic devices when it comes to her 7-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. She said, “I think we should take it easy with her and take it a little slower with the electronics.” Additionally, the mother of two wants her daughter to remain a kid for as long as possible.
