Shilo Sanders drops out of Baylor after 'Play for Clicks' system fails

The Colorado Buffaloes will be without safety Shilo Sanders for the second week in a row. And thankfully, social media views don't speed up healing. After he broke his forearm against Nebraska, Coach Prime's middle son told Well Off Media, “If this video gets 200,000 views, I'll play this week.” It did, but the team doctor wasn't willing to buy the “play for click” troll job in exchange for a clean bill of health.

Sanders, the CEO of the Headache Gang, watched practice all week from the indoor facility in Boulder. When he dropped the comment, he had his right arm heavily protected with a cast. Both Shilo and Deion Sanders Jr. immediately began laughing almost hysterically when they saw that Colorado plays for clicks and that it has miraculous healing power. There is no scenario where Shilo could be ready to play again in just two weeks after breaking a bone. Either way, it's another good example of providing content to the trolls, and fantastic.

On Wednesday, Shilo gave an update on his status. But when he said, “We're over 200,000 views…” the CU training staff ignored him. When Shilo said, “This is the head coach,” he was nowhere to be found and clearly wasn't even considering the thought. Bucky can be heard saying he's going to ask, but that's the last we saw of the head coach in that video.

Deion Sanders shared his thoughts on Shilo's recovery. “I know Shilo… Shilo has God on his side, I'll tell you that,” Sanders said at a press conference last week. “I've never seen anything like that ability to heal. Shilo was out for four, four and a half months with knee surgery. I mean, he got back on his feet that fast. And then he had shoulder surgery. Shilo… he has the hand of God on him. So, I would say 2-3 weeks.”

Shedeur Sanders was warned about the Kardashian curse after a meeting in Boulder

As it stands, Shilo Sanders appears as the third option in the lineup for Baylor games. His name is italicized because he is injured, but he is there. He may play, but will not be in the game against Baylor. He could be ready to play next week in Orlando against UCF, however. Shilo's return is well within the recovery window provided by Coach Prime earlier this month.

Colorado welcomes Baylor to Folsom Field this Saturday for the opener of Big 12 play. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
