Shilo Sanders jokes he could return for Colorado football after injury, CSU troll

Shilo Sanders' forearm may be broken, but his humor certainly isn't.

Amidst all the drama surrounding the Sanders-CSU battle and the constant criticism of Colorado, Shilo is bringing some levity. Despite being injured, Shilo is gradually setting things straight while also giving his fans a long-awaited (not serious) update on his injury.

“Alright guys, since we're playing for views, I'll play this weekend if this video hits 200,000.” Shilo roared in response to Deion Sanders Jr.'s question about whether or not he will play this week.

Of all the Buffs team reactions to Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi's “we'll see where the Instagram followers take them” pregame bravado, Shilo's is the best (or the one that best trashed Fowler-Nicolosi's comment).

The best part about Shilo's comment is that this clapback puts a whole lot of people in the shade, especially those who started the whole “CU plays for the claps controversy” like Dan Lanning, who originally said the words, and former Buffs player Cormani McClain, who popularized them.

Fowler-Nicolosi has also been added to the list. He should have learned his lesson sooner!

Let us now return to Sanders' injuryThe Buffs center suffered a broken forearm in the second week's game against Nebraska. Although the center underwent a successful ORIF surgery (which takes an average of 152.1 days to heal, per EssentiallySports), Coach Prime expects him to be back on his feet in 2-3 weeks, which seems pretty unrealistic given the numbers.

However, according to Well Off Media's videos, Shilo is regularly visiting the training center. Given Shilo Sanders' enthusiasm to return to the game as soon as possible and the fact that his head coach is quite confident about that, fans can expect a comeback soon.

One thing is certain, though. It will be a big event for Deion and co. when Shilo returns.
