Simone Biles is once again risking backlash from Bears fans after saying the Packers have some of the most impressive NFL players

Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, continues to put herself in the position of being unpopular with Chicago Bears fans after revealing that one of her favorite NFL players is a Green Bay Packer.

Biles, whose husband is Bears safety Jonathan Owens, understands the rivalry between Chicago and Green Bay in the NFC North. Owens was a Packer last season before signing with the Bears before the start of this year.

Earlier this year, fresh off her dominance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles was spotted at a Bears preseason game wearing a custom Packers jacket that featured her husband's former jersey number and the like. Many Bears fans took to social media to express their displeasure with Biles' outfit choice as she stood courtside at Soldier Field.

Now, one of Owens' former teammates was yelled at during Biles' appearance on the Not Just Football with Cam Heyward podcast after the veteran Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman asked her which NFL players impressed her the most.

“We also loved being with Jordan Love last season, such a breakout star, and that was super exciting,” Biles said.

She first mentioned Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, calling him a “freak of nature.”

“Except for my husband, because he has broken down untypical stigmas. He's (Division II), unranked, the seventh tier in the league, which is so nice for kids to see, especially when he runs his football camps. But I really believe we do.” Keep going back to Patrick Mahomes, a freak of nature.

“How does he always manage to get it out? The Chiefs could be down and he’s just a miracle worker.”

As a 14-year NFL veteran, Heyward understands what Biles would have risked by belting out “Love,” but Biles offered a different perspective.

“You can't hate her anymore after you're gone!” she said. “You still have so much respect for the team.”

Love gained the respect of Packers and NFL fans last season in his first year as a starter after four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets. While Biles watched Owens help on the defensive side of the ball, Love threw passes for 4,159 yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

The Packers made it to the playoffs and pulled off a massive upset against the No. 2 seed Dallas Cowboys on the road at AT&T Stadium. Love also had a chance to score a game-winning drive against the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers, but failed.

Still, Packers supporters were confident that the torch had been passed from Rodgers to the right-wing quarterback in Love, and the franchise believed it too after handing out a massive four-year, $220 million contract extension this offseason .

While Biles admitted she wouldn't make a mistake with her wardrobe again, she can't hate someone like Love after rooting for him last season.
