Sixers are without four players after their preseason home win against Nets

The Philadelphia 76ers completed a 117-95 home victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday and then got to work by starting to trim down the roster ahead of their season opener on Oct. 23 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Sixers waived four players after the win over the Nets: Judah Mintz, Max Fiedler, Isaiah Mobley and Jordan Tucker, all of whom were with Philadelphia on Exhibit 10 deals. The Sixers will likely keep them in the organization as they all head to the G League to play for the Delaware Blue Coats.

Coach Nick Nurse gave them all a lot in the preseason, but as the Sixers move forward, it's time to whittle down the roster and prepare for the regular season with Philadelphia in search of a title.

The Sixers have one more preseason game left on Friday when they take on the Orlando Magic before opening the season at home. It will be interesting to see if Philadelphia will use any of their rotation players after the events of the recent friendlies.
