Steelers' Justin Fields hits Connor Heyward for the first touchdown against the Cowboys

PITTSBURGH — It took all half of the long-awaited Week 5 Sunday night game, but one team finally reached the end zone.

After trading field goals with the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers scored their first touchdown of the night to take a 10-6 lead with 11:50 left in the third quarter when Justin Fields hit tight end Connor Heyward for a 16-yarder -Score hit.

The connection with Heyward is something of a redemption for the pair after Fields overthrew the tight end on the Steelers' first drive on what could have been a big play.

Fields' hit also came several plays after he was briefly sidelined after being hit by defensive end Tyrus Wheat, who was cautioned for roughhousing the passer. Fields missed two plays, including a 19-yard pass from backup quarterback Kyle Allen to tight end Pat Freiermuth, but he came back and threw four straight completions, including the touchdown.
