Strong winds sweep debris and cancellations through the Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Strong winds are moving through the valley, pushing debris onto the roads and causing some cancellations.

The wind warning was issued at 11pm on Thursday and will remain in force until midnight Friday. Gusts are expected to bring colder temperatures to the Valley for much of the morning and early afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to fall back into the low 70s later in the day.

The PGA Tour, which hosts the Shriners Children's Open in Las Vegas this weekend, announced a four-hour delay for the start of the second round. Golfers are now expected to tee off at 10:55 a.m

The City of Henderson has canceled its Montagna Park Farmers Market. The Ward 4 Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and Movie in the Park events at the Durango YMCA have also been canceled.

As of 8 a.m., 58 flights from Harry Reid International Airport were delayed and only two were canceled
