Swifties secure last-minute tickets to New Orleans | Taylor Swift

A few lucky Taylor Swift fans are snagging face value tickets to the three Eras Tour shows in New Orleans on Thursday, snagging tickets in a quietly released ticket drop on Ticketmaster.

Such surprise tickets are nothing new for the Eras Tour. Ticketmaster has been known to return additional tickets after the artist's team finishes setting up the stage, taking up a few more seats than were originally sold.

Tickets were available for all three concert nights as several thousand Swifties waited in line for their chance at a spot.

The drops took place on all three nights of shows in Miami last week and at several concert venues during the first U.S. leg of the pop superstar's tour.

Access to ticket sales was limited to fans who first received verified fan access to New Orleans concert sales. That is, not everyone could join the queue for tickets.

There could be additional ticket sales for the other nights of Swift's shows in the coming days.

Resale card prices

For those who weren't lucky enough to secure a spot on ticket sales, there are still plenty of Eras Tour tickets left on the secondary market if you're willing to spend big.

Most tickets in the Upper Terrace section were at least $1,200 on SeatGeek and StubHub on Thursday.

Floor seats were offered for $2,000 to over $4,500.
