Tedesco: “Belgium has a few ideas” tonight against Italy

Domenico Tedesco said Belgium have “a few ideas” for today's Nations League clash with Italy amid doubts about their tactical approach due to the absence of some big names.

It starts at 7.45pm UK time (6.45pm GMT) at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

You can follow the entire build-up and action in the live blog.

The Red Devils started the group with a win over Israel and a 2-0 defeat against France and are in second place with Les Bleus before this game.

Tedesco has to regroup the Belgian team

They will be without the injured Kevin de Bruyne and Amadou Onana, while Romelu Lukaku has asked not to feature so he can work on getting fit alongside Antonio Conte at Napoli.

“It's not just Kevin that we're missing, as Romelu and Amadou were also in the starting XI when they were available, but we have good potential, a lot of young players and we need to focus on the players who are available.” , Tedesco told RAI Sport.

Tedesco gave the interview in Italian because he was born in Italy and his family moved to Germany when he was a baby.

“We are aware of Italy's strength, this team can hurt any opponent and we have to be focused from the first to the last minute.”

There is some confusion as to exactly how Belgium will line up tonight, as it could be a three-man or four-man defense, with Zeno Debast at the back at right-back.

“We have a few ideas, so we’ll see.”
