The Bengals vs. Giants quick count includes some interesting developments

The Cincinnati Bengals did just enough to earn their second win of the season, a 17-7 road win over the New York Giants.

Tight end and running back remain the most intriguing positions in the Bengals' offense.

Versatile rookie Erick All's 23 snaps were second only to Drew Sample's 26, but All's two catches on three targets were the only results the position saw in the passing game. Gesicki finished third with 19 snaps and Tanner Hudson managed four reps.

Chase Brown appeared to be the RB1. He had the first touch of the night and played 33 snaps to Zack Moss' 24. The running game struggled to get going until the final drive. Consistency was lacking, but Chase's few good runs resulted in respectable numbers.

The Bengals took some heat this week when they activated Trenton Irwin over Jermaine Burton, but the move had little impact on the game. Irwin took three attack photos, which is about the same as what Burton got. If you're wondering if he was active on special teams, he wasn't. He didn't take a single special teams snap.

Bengals fans can breathe a sigh of relief. After leaving the game early last week, first-round pick Amarius Mims played every snap against the Giants.

BJ Hill came to the ball and played 55 snaps on the defensive interior. Sheldon Rankins added 42. Rookies Kris Jenkins (39) and McKinnley Jackson (21) also made key contributions to a unit that looked significantly improved.

On the sidelines, Trey Hendrickson led the way with 47 snaps. In an interesting development, Joseph Ossai's 40 snaps were actually one more than Sam Hubbard's 39. Myles Murphy added 32 to a strong rotation,

With Dax Hill on the sideline, DJ Turner and Cam Taylor-Britt each scored all but one defensive tackle against the Giants. Linebacker Logan Wilson was the only player to play all defensive snaps.

Despite his struggles throughout the season, Geno Stone continues to make nearly every defensive tackle (99% this week), while Vonn Bell (84%) has given up some reps to Jordan Battle (18%).
