The Chicago White Sox announced a multi-year contract for analyst Steve Stone

The Chicago White Sox have locked up the other half of their broadcast team.

The Sox announced Thursday that they have signed baseball analyst Steve Stone to a multi-year contract. Stone also announced the deal on television during the Sox' series finale against the Angels of Anaheim.

Stone's analysis will be broadcast on the Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), working alongside White Sox play-by-play announcer John Schriffen.

“I wanted to sign a long-term contract that ensures I spend the remainder of my career with the Chicago White Sox,” Stone said in a statement. “I have spent almost all of my time in baseball in Chicago, first as a player and now as a broadcaster.”

The 2025 baseball season will be Stone's 18th.

CHSN will be the new TV home for the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox when it launches on October 1st, and Stone will begin its 18th season, broadcasting Sox games during the first White Sox broadcast of the regular season on October 27th Angels announce March 2025 against the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox.

“Steve is considered one of the best in the business and we are so happy that the White Sox is his home,” White Sox chief revenue and marketing officer Brooks Boyer said in a statement. “His expertise and presence on the stand add depth and knowledge to every broadcast. Steve is loved by White Sox fans and we look forward to many more seasons of the legendary Steve Stone on the White Sox broadcast.”

The release announcing the deal also states that Stone will work on a more limited schedule in 2025.

“Throughout this time, I have considered the White Sox my family and I simply want to spend my days with the people I consider members of my family,” Stone said in a statement.
