Frontwoman Brody Dalle announced on her official Instagram account that the band had to cancel their performance at the music party. “As some of you may know by now, we didn't play festivals when we were young. We are sad not to have done so and apologize for any inconvenience or upset this may have caused you,” the caption of her post began.

“We couldn't announce it until the festival set up its schedule, the festival does not offer refunds. If you are coming just for us and in lieu of a refund, please direct message the distilleries on Instagram with your name, a photo of your tickets and the city you live in. We will then put you on our guest list for a show in your city or the city of your choice. Please keep your tickets for validation.”

The annual alternative music festival takes place this weekend (October 19th and 20th) at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Nevada. Last year they introduced their line-up: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World will play their classic albums in full.

Last week, The All American Rejects announced that they would no longer be playing “When We Were Young” because the festival's management was “unable to accommodate them.”

In a statement shared on Instagram, they wrote: “We have spent months tirelessly preparing a once-in-a-lifetime show that we were so excited to bring to you.” However, there was a management change within WWWY operations and they were no longer able to host us in the same way as before to accommodate the agreed staffing, which made it impossible for us to continue.”

They continued: “We are particularly saddened that we cannot play for those of you who travel across the Gauntlet to witness the visual and audio spectacle we are concocting in our cauldron.” We would like to thank our “Apologies to the amazing crew who worked around the clock to make magic happen.”

On last year's edition of When We Were Young, Avril Lavigne and All Time Low teamed up to perform Lavigne's hit “Sk8er Boi.” Tony Hawk also joined Goldfinger to perform “Superman” at the party.
