The Eagles blockbuster would bring in million for Star On Trade Block

Could a big trade be on the horizon for the Philadelphia Eagles?

Philadelphia should have a lot of work to do in the next few weeks as the November 5th trade deadline quickly approaches. The Eagles should definitely be aggressive as the franchise has a good chance of making a breakthrough this year.

The Eagles have a deep roster, but the safety position could use a boost and Arizona Cardinals star safety Budda Baker could make a ton of sense. He is currently in the final season of a four-year, $59 million contract with Arizona, and Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz of USA Today called him a possible trade candidate.

“Stopping one of the few attacks on the Cardinals' severely undermanned defense would certainly turn heads,” Middlehurst-Schwartz said. “But general manager Monti Ossenfort has repeatedly taken a long-term view in overhauling Arizona's roster, and given the team's extensive needs, listening to offers for the 28-year-old Baker (as a special-team pick) appears to be a smart move at the back Area still has plenty of cap space, making him an intriguing prospect for any team poised to achieve big results with an early-season revamp of its secondary.

This isn't the first time Baker has been mentioned as a trade candidate. He would be one of the best players on the trading block and would fill a major need for Philadelphia. The Eagles should get Arizona on the phone.
