The Giants defeated Geno Smith and the Seahawks to claim a 29-20 win in the final Survivor Pool stunner

Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks offense appear to have stalled.

After dominating in recent weeks and racking up an incredible 516 total yards in Week 4, the Seahawks fell short on Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field. That opened the door for Daniel Jones and the New York Giants, who held on late into the night, returning a blocked field goal for a touchdown in the final minute to earn a 29-20 victory in Seattle.

After losing two straight games to start the season, the Giants have now won two of their last three games. The Seahawks have lost two in a row.

And for the lucky few who made it this far in their survival pools, the Giants' win was the latest massive elimination this season. More than 40% of Yahoo Sports users picked the Seahawks as the winner in their Survivor Pools this week, which was by far the most popular choice. The survivor pool favorites have now lost in four of the first five weeks of the season.

Smith entered Sunday afternoon as the league's passing leader after rushing for a career-high 395 yards in last week's loss to the Detroit Lions. This loss was her first of the season and Smith's second game with at least 300 passing yards this season.

But on Sunday, Smith couldn't get much going until the end. He completed 28 of 40 for 284 yards and a touchdown. He was also their leader with 73 yards on the ground.

Jones and the Giants took full advantage. After taking a 10-10 lead into halftime, the Giants took the lead out of the locker room after Jones hit Darius Slayton in the corner of the end zone for a 30-yard touchdown pass. This came two plays after Slayton was also penalized for a finger fire celebration penalty.

The two teams then alternated field goals, and the Giants extended their lead to 10 points early in the fourth quarter with a third field goal by Greg Joseph after beating the Seahawks on a four-and-one on their own of the pitch.

Smith led the Seahawks on their first drive into the red zone late in the fourth quarter, capping it with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Although the Seahawks made it within striking distance and attempted to tie the score with a field goal in the final minute, Isaiah Simmons blocked the field goal that Bryce Ford-Wheaton ran back 60 yards for a touchdown. This sealed the nine-point victory.

Jones completed 23 of 34 for 257 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants' win. Tyrone Tracy led them on the ground with 129 yards and 18 carries. Slayton finished the game with 122 yards and a touchdown on eight catches.

Kenneth Walker III had just 19 yards on five carries on the ground for the Seahawks. Tyler Lockett had 75 yards on four catches and Walker had another 57 yards on seven catches.
