The Guardians' José Ramírez was named a finalist for MLB's Hank Aaron Award in the American League

Ramírez is seeking to become the first Cleveland player to win the award since Manny Ramirez took home the first AL award in 1999. This is the seventh time Cleveland's All-Star third baseman has been nominated and the fourth time in the last five seasons.

In addition to Ramírez, AL nominees include Yordan Alvarez of the Astros, Jarren Duran of the Red Sox, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Blue Jays, Gunnar Henderson of the Orioles, Aaron Judge of the Yankees, Brent Rooker of the Athletics and Anthony Santander from the Orioles, Juan Soto from the Yankees and Bobby Witt Jr. from the Royals.

National League nominees include William Contreras of the Brewers, Elly De La Cruz of the Reds, Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers, Bryce Harper of the Phillies, Francisco Lindor of the Mets, Ketel Marte of the Diamondbacks, Jackson Merrill of the Padres and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers, Marcel Ozuna of the Braves and Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies.

MLB legends and previous honorees such as Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, Albert Pujols and Ken Griffey Jr. serve on the jury that selects the winners. A select committee of journalists put together the final vote.

Guardians fans can vote for Ramírez online now through October 13 at MLB.com/aaron.

The winners will be announced Nov. 14 during a presentation on the All-MLB Team Show on MLB Network.
