“The Masked Singer” jury was thrilled after the “role model” chess piece was unveiled

It was “Barbie Night” on “The Masked Singer” as contestants danced — and sang — all night long.

In celebration of Barbie's 65th anniversary, the October 23 episode was full of Group B, who once again took over the stage and performed to Barbie-inspired songs.

But before the contestants moved on to the next round, panelist Ken Keong went full Ken and delivered an epic and hilarious rendition of “I'm Just Ken.” The remaining panelists Robin Thicke, Rita Ora and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg also presented their best Barbies and Kens.

See how Bluebell, Chess Piece, Goo and Wasp fared this week.

What did each participant demonstrate?

Bluebell impressed the panelists with “Dance the Night” by Dua Lipa, while Goo stunned them with a soulful rendition of “Miss Independent” by Ne-Yo.

Chess Piece wowed the audience with “I'm Every Woman” by Chaka Khan and Wasp closed the evening with a mesmerizing performance of “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato that moved the panelists to tears.

Who went home this week?

After a difficult decision, one participant had to be revealed and it was the chess piece. Before viewers found out who it was, the panelists gave their final guesses.

McCarthy-Wahlberg believed it was Serena Williams, Jeong guessed it was Issa Rae, while Ora believed it was Tyra Banks and Thicke said it was ballet dancer Misty Copeland.

They were all wrong because it was Laverne Cox.

After being unmasked, Cox spoke about the trauma and fear she felt while singing and hoped The Masked Singer would help her overcome it.

“What was so fun tonight is that I got to sing and dance like I did as a little kid,” she said of her experience on “The Masked Singer.” “And it didn’t have to be right, it didn’t have to be perfect. I just had fun and I hope this is the start of healing even more of this trauma.”

Jeong called Cox a “role model, a pioneer and an inspiration.”

Cox also spoke about how proud she is to represent and have her own Barbie as an openly trans black woman: “I'm so incredibly blessed.”

Next week, the final three participants of Group B will compete again in an attempt to avoid double elimination.
