The Olivia Nuzzi-Ryan Lizza saga has reached new, raunchy levels

In the filing, the Politico journalist said he was now “forced to defend himself in court against baseless allegations.” Whether the D.C. Superior Court decides that the allegations are “baseless,” as claimed, or sides with Nuzzi, a decision will not be made until after the election. Judge Sean Staples Set a hearing date of November 19 to continue proceedings and consider Nuzzi's request for a protective order.

Meanwhile, with this feud remaining unresolved until after Election Day, it's safe to assume that both Nuzzi and Lizza won't be back at their respective desks to hear the results of the historic election campaign Kamala Harris-Donald Trump race.

Nuzzi was placed on leave new York last month after acknowledging the relationship with the magazine's editorial board. Employees have been informed of an ongoing independent, third-party investigation into Nuzzi's conduct and have been instructed not to discuss the matter until it is resolved. Vox Media did not want to comment on the status of the investigation.

Nuzzi has claimed that her “digital relationship” with Kennedy, which spanned several months, never became physical, as reported by Lachlan Cartwright. A spokesman for Kennedy did not respond to a request for comment.

Lizza, who serves as chief Washington correspondent and co-author of the Playbook newsletter, is currently on leave while Politico conducts its own investigation. A Politico spokesperson declined to provide an update on the status of the investigation.

A Politico journalist who spoke to Vanity Fair Speaking on condition of anonymity, he said Lizza's absence “had no impact on how people do their jobs,” adding that “people are really focused on doing a good job and reporting on the campaign.” The staff does not expect Lizza to return before the end of the election. The person added that employees internally view the incident as a “personal tragedy” for Lizza and are awaiting the decision of the company's investigation into the matter.

While new York The magazine, which is currently wrapping up its media edition, has not reported on the scandal, Politico highlighted the latest developments in Wednesday morning's “Playbook” and linked to a Washington Post Article along with the heading “FOR YOUR RADAR”.
