The Red Raiders find a way to win again against the Wildcats

Texas Tech found a way to win against Arizona. Although the Red Raider's offense disappeared in the third quarter, they picked up Joey McGuire's fourth road win as head coach at Texas Tech.

Here are five takeaways from the game…

Outstanding first half for Tech

The Red Raiders took an 18-3 lead at halftime thanks to a strong offensive performance and an outstanding defensive performance.

Tech threw two interceptions, one by defensive tackle Quincy Ledet Jr., which Tech used to extend their lead with two touchdowns from Tahj Brooks.

The Red Raider defense keeps Tech in the game

The Red Raider defense held the Arizona offense out of the end zone four times. The Wildcats were forced to turn to kicker Tyler Loop, who went 4-for-4 late in the fourth quarter.

Loop later missed a key field goal, allowing the Tech offense to regain the lead in the final minutes of the game.

On the final Arizona drive of the night, Tech forced a fumble by the Arizona receiver and projected first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan, clinching the game for Tech.

The Tech offense struggled in the second half, finding a way

The Red Raiders managed just seven yards of offense in the third quarter, but put together a game-winning performance when Gino Garcia made the go-ahead field goal from 41 yards.

Morton threw a back-shoulder fade to Caleb Douglas, putting Tech within field goal range on the second-to-last drive.

Brooks rumbles and plummets to 3rd all-time in Tech history

Brooks tied for third all-time in Tech rushing history with a 66-yard score and two touchdowns in the first half of the game.

In the second half, Brooks fumbled twice, allowing Arizona to get back into the game. However, during Tech's final offensive possession, Brooks took care of business by scoring a 32-yard touchdown to give the Red Raiders a two-possession lead.

Tech enters the bye week at 5-1 (3-0).

The Red Raiders continue to find a way to win. However, they were unable to outrun a team in Big 12 play after getting off to a good start.

In the end, it didn't matter as Tech found a way to take the lead in the final moments and move to a bye at 5-1 overall and undefeated in Big 12 play, moving to 3-0 to take first place.

Tech will have a bye week before hosting the Baylor Bears at Jones AT&T Stadium on Oct. 19.
