“God gave you a light”: The VOICE judges give the candidate who has studied the gospel a choice of four chairs

THE VOICE contestant Cameron Wright just won the highest honor you can get on the singing talent show – a four-seater!

The Minneapolis native Wright performed Barbra Streisand's “The Way We Were” and earned the attention of Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg.

“That was spectacular – one of my favorite songs,” McEntire told the singer. “And boy, you sang the whole time! This isn’t your first rodeo, is it?”

No, it wasn't – Wright was raised by a gospel-singing mother, which instilled in her the musical confidence that the judges and audience members say on stage.

“I mean, you just came in and knocked the air out of the room,” Stefani gushed. “There wasn't a single moment that wasn't perfect, the way you sang it. It was crazy!”

All four coaches wanted Wright, but it was Bublé who finally welcomed the talented singer to his team.

“We all know you have a beautiful voice. But what I like most about you is that God has given you a light that flows out of you,” he told Wright. “You can’t buy it, you can’t bottle it. I would like to be your coach.”

Wright is not the only candidate that Bublé was able to beat the other jurors in the end. Cassidy Lee, who unsuccessfully auditioned in 2020, returned to the show with a rocking version of Linda Ronstadt's “You're No Good.”

“While I was watching you, I was thinking about a few things,” Bublé told the young singer. “At first I thought, 'Thank Jesus that these coaches have pushed their buttons so many times that they won't do it again.' Because I hear something in your voice that is unique. It's really feminine, but at the same time you have this rock growl that made me think, 'Oof.'

Movieguide® previously reported on Bublé's first season on THE VOICE:

Michael Bublé is excited to be joining the 26th season of THE VOICE, which unlike any previous season of the show features a special coaching network.

“I was really nervous about doing the show,” Bublé said told TV Insider this week. “But what I hear from the crew that has been there for 14 years is that there hasn't been anything like this (a group of trainers) before. We're just a group that came together and really complemented each other and really liked each other. I think it's special and I can't wait for people to see it. I think they’ll have a lot of fun watching.”

THE VOICE has an energetic atmosphere, but Bublé loves it.

“It's intense. But it's the best job I've ever had. My parents came to watch the first taping today and they said, ‘This is the greatest show in the world.’ It’s electric,” he said said.
