Thomas Müller says FC Bayern Munich's 4-1 defeat against FC Barcelona was “not a good feeling”

Bayern Munich was just defeated by FC Barcelona in the Champions League, a sentence many thought he wouldn't say for a long time. Bayern lost 4-1 as their game today was plagued by errors. Nobody was happy, none other than Thomas Müller.

“This is obviously not a good feeling,” Müller began (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We came here to win but we lost 4-1 so there is still a lot of work to do. In the end we perhaps lacked confidence because of the result and the way we played. If we look back and analyze, we will see that Barcelona had more good moments than us. I will say it seemed like we lacked confidence just because we didn't push as hard as we wanted.

“We didn't have the possession and control we were aiming for,” he continued. “We didn’t play like we could; That's what I meant. Maybe it's only human to get up and try again after a 4-1 defeat, but it's not that easy. We had good possession of the ball, so the result was perhaps a bit strange. We have to respect that they are a good team, that Raphinha had an almost perfect evening, while we missed good chances.”
