Tim Tebow reveals his picks to win the Heisman Trophy in Week 6

There are a lot of interesting Heisman candidates as we approach the halfway point of the 2024 college football season, and Tim Tebow highlighted several of them on SportsCenter Saturday morning.

That being said, there is one non-power conference player that Tebow considers his Heisman favorite at this point in the year.

“Well, listen, I guess Jalen Milroe stands out. I find Cam Ward does a great job. I find Travis Hunter plays at an incredible level on both ends,” Tim Tebow said. “But if I had to continue with my winner until September, then I'll take part Ashton Jeanty out of Boise State.”

Milroe helped Alabama to an undefeated start to the season, including a win Georgia last week. The junior has already scored a total of 18 touchdowns this year. Ward has too Miami undefeated, and the Hurricanes QB has scored 20 touchdowns this season. Travis Hunter He may be the most dynamic player in the country, having played on both sides of the ball game after game.

However, Tim Tebow believes Boise State's Ashton Jeanty has stood out from the pack. Through four games, the junior has 845 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns and is averaging more than 10 yards per carry.

“This guy is unreal,” Tebow said. “Through four games, 845 yards, 13 touchdowns. Everyone will talk about it. But I want to talk about what no one talks about. 21 broken tackles in four games, most in the FBS.”

Tim Tebow revealed another statistic that is incredibly impressive.

“Oh, and by the way, the most ridiculous stat I've seen this season per rush, 5.7 yards after contact. This means that every time he gets the stone and you beat him, he goes by another 5.7. That’s a joke,” Tebow said. “This boy is ridiculous. I want everyone to see that statistic 5.7 yards after contact.”

There's still a lot to play for, but Tim Tebow has made his Heisman choice clear as things stand.

Tebow’s opinion counts, too. As a former Heisman winner, he will vote in this year's race. The 2024 Heisman Trophy will be presented to the winner in December before the postseason.

Jeanty and Boise State are 3-1 on the year, with their only loss coming in a close game Oregon. The Florida native rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns against the Ducks, proving he is fully capable of playing against the top defense in the FBS.
