Today at Pinstripe Alley – 9/28/24

The Yankees began their final series of the year in a bit of a lull, resting some key players and failing to get the offense going late after taking an early lead. With only two games left in the season, a win or a loss in Cleveland will secure them first place in the American League, so perhaps they'll round up the A team for tonight's matinee to get a well-deserved break for the to treat yourself to the finale.

Anyway, later today they'll get their first look at rising star Paul Skenes. Before they square off, we need to clear a few things up here, starting with John going through the anthology of John Sterling's home run calls to give a philological breakdown of the popular play-by-play man's lines. Peter enters the film room for one final regular season sequence of the week featuring Gerrit Cole's dominant performance against the O's, and then Jake and Sam cover the Rivalry Roundup and 1999 Diary, respectively. Josh gives you all a few modern baseball songs to go through during the week-long break before the ALDS, and after the game, Estevão goes over the latest Reacts answers.

Questions/Suggestions:

1. If we have Aaron Judge in the lineup today, how do you think he will perform against Skenes?

2. What do you think about the Twins bombing the postseason race?
