Tom Brady has one complaint so far about Fox Sports broadcasting orders

Legendary quarterback and current analyst Tom Brady is breaking new ground this season. Instead of lining up in the middle and chasing Super Bowl titles, Brady sits in the broadcast booth and describes the events on television to Fox Sports viewers.

Each week, Brady and play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt come together to call Fox Sports' top game. And through the first seven weeks of the 2024 NFL season, the games Brady called weren't exactly exciting.

“All these games I’ve played in – I’ve played seven games now. I essentially had six losses and the home team only won one game,” Brady said on the website Let's go! Podcast this week. “I can’t wait for the home team to play in a close game and there will be a lot of excitement in the stadium.”

Brady began his broadcasting career by calling the Dallas Cowboys' first three games of the season. He then mentioned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 and the Arizona Cardinals' surprising 24-23 win over the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium in Week 5. For the past two weeks, Brady has been on the mic for The Cowboys and 49ers were trampled by the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively.

Only two games announced by Brady were decided by a single possession. And one of them — the Cowboys' 28-25 loss to the Ravens in Week 3 — wasn't as hard-fought as the final score would suggest. Dallas trailed 28-6 before cutting the deficit to three points late in the fourth quarter and never had a chance to equalize or take the lead.

Still, Brady insists he still likes his new gig.

“It was really fun watching those games from the 50-yard line,” Brady said. “Although I would much rather play on the field because it's a lot more fun down there. … But just watching from above and seeing these guys play is pretty cool.”

Brady will be back in the locker room for the Seattle Seahawks' Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills at Lumen Field. He definitely hopes the game will be a suspense thriller as he works on his broadcasting craft.
