Top performers from Tennessee's first SEC win of the season

The Tennessee Vols finally broke their streak of 29 consecutive losses to a top-15 team on the road on Saturday night when Josh Heupel and his Tennessee Vols defeated his former team, the 15th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Vols left the field with a 25-15 victory after their defense started the first half great, allowing only three points.

Many players performed great in this game and helped the Vols win. Here are the best players from the Vols' first SEC game and win of the season.

Iamaleava had a great first game away. He finished the day with a passing touchdown, a 66-yard pass to Dont'e Thornton. He did fumble twice, but only one of those was the redshirt freshman's fault. Iamaleava capped off his game with 191 yards passing and 15 yards rushing, but only completed 13/21 against a solid Sooners defense.

McCoy had his best game of the season, catching nearly 100 yards. He finished the day with four catches for 92 yards. He seemed to be the primary target for Iamaleava. The talented QB and WR threw the second longest pass of the day, with Iamaleava throwing a 44-yard pass to McCoy.

Bru wasn't the only McCoy on this list, as Jermod is very deserving as well. The top-rated defensive back in the SEC didn't just show up, he excelled. With several great coverages and breakups, the talented defensive back added a stat he hasn't achieved all season. That was an interception. Sitting in the zone, McCoy made a play you'd expect from a comeback on Sunday, throwing down the field and tricking Oklahoma's Jackson Arnold into an interception.

Thornton also had a great day at wide receiver, throwing the game's only touchdown pass. The 66 yards on that play was the biggest moment of his game, but he still finished the game with 73 yards on two catches and would have surpassed the 100-yard mark had a big play not been called back.
