Top PFF grades for No. 1 Texas' 51-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns defeated the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 51-3 on Saturday night at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. Here's how the team ranks according to PFF.

ATTACK

QB – Arch Manning, 57.5

In his first career start after Quinn Ewers Despite being injured in the win over UTSA, Manning was pretty solid, completing 15 of 29 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns. His two interceptions showed he has that gunslinger style in him and is still a nice work in progress.

RB – Jaydon Blue, 70.2

Saturday night featured DKR's Jaydon Blue Show. The junior tailback ran for 124 yards and three touchdowns, a season-high, and added a three-yard catch to the scoresheet.

WR – Isaiah Bond, 67.0Ryan Wingo, 67.0, Silane Bolden, 65.8

In total, eight different Longhorn receivers caught passes (12, including TE and RB), as Sarkisian continues to try to find balance within the receiver corps. Bond led the way with 75 yards, Bolden led in pass catches with three, and Ryan Wingo had a touchdown catch.

TE – Gunnar Helm, 52.9

The tight end position was once again quiet on Saturday, led by Helm and Juan Davis, who each shared one catch and a total of 15 yards.

OL – Kelvin Banks, 72.7, Cole Hutson, 79.6, Hayden Conner, 64.0

Texas' offensive line played well on Saturday night, helping the offense to 407 yards. Manning was caught a couple of times and sacked once, but overall it was still a really good performance from one of the program's strengths.

DEFENSE

DL/EDGE – Colin Simmons, 79.7Ethan Burke, 81.2, Alfred Collins, 66.3

The Texas defense gave the ULM quarterbacks a hard time all night. Simmons and Burke continued to cause trouble while Collins continued to build on his great start to his senior year with three tackles and one tackle for loss.

LB – Anthony Hill, 90.4, Liona Lefau, 68.3, David Gbenda, 62.0

Hill was fantastic (three tackles, one sack, one TFL) and nearly added a pick-six (recalled), while Lefau was sensational in his best performance yet, leading the Longhorns with a team-high seven tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack. Gbenda recorded four tackles to round out a wonderful night for the linebackers.

CB – Jahdae Barron, 75.7. Malik Mohammed, 65.8

The Texas cornerback duo continues to keep the Isles at bay at DKR. Both have added pass breakups and both resemble NFL cornerbacks. Transfer Jay'Vion Cole added his first interception.

S/N – Andrew Mukuba, 63.0, Michael Taaffe80.6

Texas' safeties continue to set the pace in the Horns' defensive backfield. Taaffe recorded five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, while Mukuba added three tackles. Jordan Johnson-Rubell got a lot of running on Saturday, with a rating of 67.4.
