UEFA Nations League: Greece vs Republic of Ireland – BBC Sport

  • Greece are unbeaten in their last six games against the Republic of Ireland and have kept five clean sheets in those games (W5 D1).

  • The Republic of Ireland are winless in their six previous meetings with Greece (D1 L5) and have lost the last four in a row – only against Italy have the Boys in Green ever lost more consecutive games (6 between 1926 and 1992).

  • Greece have lost just one of their last 12 home games in all competitions (W8 D3) and are unbeaten in each of their last four on home soil (W3 D1), since a 1-0 loss to the Netherlands in a European Championship qualifier in October 2023.

  • The Republic of Ireland won their first away game in the UEFA Nations League last time (2-1 against Finland) and are looking to win back-to-back away games in all competitions against Azerbaijan and Luxembourg for the first time since November 2021, when they recorded victories.

  • Greece have won each of their last four games, keeping clean sheets in three of them, and could make it five wins in a row in all competitions for the first time since October 2016.

  • The Republic of Ireland have won just four of their last 14 competitive games, losing nine and drawing the other. However, they won last time (2-1 against Finland) and are looking to win consecutive competitive games for the first time since March 2019, when they beat Gibraltar and Georgia 1-0 each.

  • Anastasios Bakasetas was directly involved in 44% of all Greece's goals in the UEFA Nations League (December 27), scoring five goals and providing seven assists in his 20 games. He provided four assists in his last four appearances in the competition.

  • Robbie Brady was directly involved in more goals for the Republic of Ireland in the UEFA Nations League than any other player (5 – 2 goals, 3 assists), with Brady scoring both in the Boys in Green's final UEFA Nations League game Competition also provided an assist (2-1 against Finland).
