Unusual warmth continues Monday – KSTP.com 5 Eyewitness News

Here is your Sunday evening forecast for October 20, 2024 from the Minnesota Weather Department and meteorologist Matt Serwe.

For the weekend of peak fall colors in the Twin Cities, we were gifted a summery Sunday! Highs will continue to be in the low 80s on Monday, although there will be more high and medium clouds. There's another warm afternoon on Tuesday – highs will be in the low to mid 70s – before it starts to feel like October.

I'm watching a cold front across Minnesota Tuesday through Wednesday. Tuesday will remain to the north, spreading light rain across the northern half of the state. Overnight it will swing south through the Twin Cities and northwestern Wisconsin. There will be some light showers in the metro, but again there will be no dry rain. Clouds will clear Wednesday afternoon and high temperatures will be in the seasonal mid-50s.

In the second half of the week, the jet stream is more active and often brings weak waves through the region. A few more showers are possible on Thursday and again on Saturday into Sunday morning. None of these should have much impact. Highs will remain in the low to mid 60s through next weekend.
