Immigration is a key election issue for Stefanie Crisp-Canales, who lives an hour from the Mexican border

Immigration is one of the biggest issues in this election campaign, especially for Republicans.

Stefanie Crisp-Canales owns a cattle ranch in South Texas, just about an hour from the Mexican border. Her family has employed Mexicans who entered the United States legally for years.

But now she says she's fed up with large groups of illegal migrants entering her land, sometimes driving through the farm's fences.

“They want to leave their country because they are wanted for other crimes and so on,” she tells me.

When I tell her that not every migrant who crosses the border illegally is a criminal, she says: “When the border guards give their names, they will tell us this one is wanted in whatever country, right, and he is wanted for murder. This is really scary.

Sometimes Stefanie and her husband Marcus hunt the groups. Isn't that dangerous, I ask?

“I've seen her running after me before and trying to stop me. But once they know you have a gun and see your gun, they usually almost always stop,” she replies.

And to emphasize this, I notice that the gate to the ranch features a design with two guns and the slogan “We Don't Call 911.”

Stefanie believes that people won't stop coming across the border until it is completely sealed. And is Donald Trump the man to do that, I ask?

“I mean, this is our only hope right now,” she says.
