UTEP Miners vs Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Prediction, Odds and Picks

The winless UTEP Miners hit the road for Houchens Industries Stadium in Bowling Green, Ky. to tangle with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The Miners have really had a difficult time on offense this season. They started off with QB Skyler Locklear, a recruit from Cleveland High (NC), but he was rather uneven in the first three games, including losses at Nebraska and at Liberty. It would have been a tall order for anyone. The team made a change at Colorado State, going with QB Cade McConnell, and the offense has picked up the pace ever so slightly. It managed to make a comeback against Sam Houston last week, before eventually falling 41-21. The offense has going for 17 or fewer points in three of four games against FBS teams, and the Under is 4-1 overall.

WKU has covered four in a row, for those bettors interested in a potential Same-Game Parlay. But, it's the Under which is the best bet, cashing in each of the past two games against Toledo and Boston College. The defense has allowed 21 or fewer points in each of the previous four outings, too. UTEP will have tremendous trouble moving the ball on the road against a talented 'Toppers team in their place. Westerns should have no trouble, though, and you'll have to sweat out the under. But, we should be well in the 50's, and no more, in this CUSA battle.

Under 58.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to 57.5.
