Vampire Survivors finally goes full Castlevania with the new DLC

Vampire survivors Things come full circle on Halloween when characters from the Castlevania series join the roguelike's roster. Developer Poncle announced on Monday that it Ode to Castlevania The DLC will bring more than 20 new playable Castlevania characters and maybe – just Perhaps – a real vampire Vampire survivors for the first time.

The roster of new playable survivors includes familiar Castlevania characters such as Simon, Richter and Trevor Belmont; Sypha and Yoko Belnades; half-vampire Alucard; and even some deeper cuts. Poncle throws Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania Since it's an everyone-is-here affair, it's likely that your favorite Castlevania hero or heroine will make an appearance.

Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania will also feature more than 40 new weapons, 30 new music tracks and “the largest map.” Vampire survivors “has ever seen,” says Poncle. The developer also teased: Ode to Castlevania will contain “a man” – meaning a bunch of secrets. Expect an exuberant love letter to all things Castlevania.

Ode to Castlevania will be released on October 31st for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. The DLC costs $3.99.

The collaboration between Poncle and Konami is a long-awaited advancement Vampire survivorswhich was launched in 2021 as a (blatant) homage to the Castlevania series. Vampire survivors Developer Luca Galante used a number of Castlevania-inspired off-the-shelf sprites to add polish to his game, which was still in a rudimentary state at the time. Since then, Poncle has added dozens of new characters, including great collaborations with Among us and Konami's Contra series.

The addition of popular characters, enemies, weapons and spells from Konami's venerable action franchise is sure to deliver Vampire survivors an even stronger Castlevania feeling. Many of the new character sprites, some of which are very close to their original Vampire survivors Counterparts are much nicer, more detailed and well animated than some of Poncle's previous efforts.
