Volleyball reverse sweeps Memphis – Tulane University Athletics

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Volleyball made its season comeback tonight against the University of Memphis by overcoming a disadvantage and defeating its opponents. The Green Wave now has a three-game winning streak and is 4-3 in conference play.

The match was a battle with the Green Wave losing the first sets 25-19 and 25-16 before staying alive with a narrow 25-22 win in the third set. Tulane established itself in the fourth period and beat the Tigers 25-20. In the fifth round, the Green Wave was ahead and won the last set 15:11.

Sami Jacobs was a leader on both offense and defense, recording an impressive 15 kills and 39 receptions. She had 17 digs, second only to Libero Annabelle Hey who set her season record with 23 points.

Agatha Beksha also had a phenomenal day, landing 12 kills to break her season record. Avery Burkes recorded eight kills and 22 receptions while Sabrina Skyers also delivered eight kills and two block assists.

Zoe Rachow scored the final point of the game by putting an attack over the net after a remarkable attack from He. She provided 23 assists during the game and is on her way to 1,000 assists in her career Katherine Crosley provided an impressive 19 assists.
