WATCH: Hilarious moment Theo Von mistakenly plays Blake Shelton's 'God Gave Me You' during interview with Miranda Lambert

While watching an episode of Theo Von Last weekend Podcast, the subject matter is reliably unpredictable. But you can always be sure of one thing: it will be extremely funny.

The most recent guest on the show was “Wranglers” hitmaker Miranda Lambert. The two delved into a variety of interesting topics, from the decision to record their new album, Postcardsin her home state of Texas, among her favorite up-and-coming country artists.

However, one of the most amusing moments came when Theo Von and Miranda Lambert discussed the classic US radio show Casey Kasem's American Top 40with Theo's producer accessing the website. How they talked about it The Cryin', Lovin' Or Leavin' ShowTheo asked his producer if he could play a random clip.

However, the excerpt they chose – which happened to be the first to appear on the site – showed a caller from ten years ago asking to hear Blake Shelton's “God Gave Me You.”

Not only was this a song written by Miranda Lambert's ex-husband when the two went through a high-profile divorce in 2015, but “God Gave Me You” was also the couple's first dance song at their wedding.

This faux pas was clearly unintentional by Theo Von and the team, and luckily Miranda laughed it off and joked, “By the way, the choice is perfect!” Perfect. Perfect!”

The two couldn't help but giggle at the honest mistake as Theo Von Miranda assured Lambert it was an accident: “No way, we didn't do it… Miranda, I swear to God… we didn't make this up Purpose…I had no idea we were going to talk about this.”

The Texas singer-songwriter responded, “That was actually perfect… My first wedding song, guys, let's play that,” to which Miranda suggested they do a spin-off of the old radio show. Theo joked that when it mattered Cry, love or leavethey had touched all three by accidentally cuing up the Blake Shelton song.

Miranda Lambert openly mentioned earlier in the show that she doesn't tend to appear on podcasts because she isn't as comfortable talking about herself as she is when she's on stage. However, this ridiculous moment showed that she was a great guest, as the episode combined hilarity and deeper themes.

Later in the new episode by Theo Von Last weekendBoth Theo and Miranda raved about Big Loud signee Stephen Wilson Jr. They expressed how much they loved songs like “Patches” and “Father's Søn,” with Miranda toasting Wilson Jr.'s 2023 album. Son of dadas “one of the greatest records to come out in a decade.” Son of dad topped Holler's list of albums of 2023.
