Weather in Minnesota: Isolated storms ahead of the cold front

Today is the last warm and slightly humid day, fitting for the last day of summer, because autumn officially begins on Sunday.

We will probably reach maximum temperatures of around 27 degrees today, a good 10 degrees above average.

A few showers and thunderstorms are expected before a cold front.

One area will pass through until midday, another wave will develop in the late afternoon and evening.

Behind the storm front and the second line of storms, cooler and drier weather will move across the region.

With skies clearing, we're only likely to see highs of between 18 and 21 degrees tomorrow, which is quite a change from what we've experienced recently.

In the coming working week, temperatures will slowly rise to over 20 degrees and dry weather is expected.
