Week 7 Injury Report: Seahawks at Falcons

Injury report from Wednesday

The Seahawks practiced Wednesday afternoon without five players due to injuries, including two starting cornerbacks and two offensive linemen. Both Tre Brown and Riq Woolen were unable to participate due to ankle injuries. Woolen hasn't practiced since injuring his ankle in the loss to the Giants in Week 5 and didn't play the following week against the 49ers. “We will see Riq (Woolen) all week. With Riq it will probably come to the point,” said head coach Mike Macdonald before training on Wednesday. Tre Brown is also suffering from an ankle injury and had to leave the 49ers game and did not return.

Two offensive linemen who have been starters in recent weeks, tackle Stone Forsythe and guard Anthony Bradford, were unable to practice Wednesday. Forsythe started in place of veteran tackle George Fant, who had been off the roster since his injury in Week 1. Bradford started at right-back but is now struggling with a toe injury which kept him out of training today. Center Connor Williams was able to practice but was limited by a pectoral injury.

Five players were limited Wednesday, including two starters on defense. Among the players who were limited available was rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, who hasn't played since Week 3. Murphy suffered a hamstring injury in the win over the Dolphins that forced him to miss the last three games but is getting limited work this week, a good sign that he'll be back on the field on game day. Leonard Williams (knee) and Boye Mafe (knee) were also limited in preparation for Week 7 in Atlanta.

Safety Jerrick Reed II was expected to return to practice after spending the first six weeks of the season on the PUP list. Reed's return could be an important addition to the safety room, which just lost Rayshawn Jenkins for at least the next four games as he was placed on injured reserve. Safety Julian Love was the only Seahawk listed as a full participant as he battled a hamstring/hamstring injury in recent weeks.

The Falcons began their week of practice without three players, including safety Justin Simmons. Four-time All-Pro safety Simmons was unable to practice on Wednesday as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. Inside linebacker Troy Andersen missed practice with a knee injury, while outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter was unable to participate in practice due to a concussion. Four players had limited participation, but two of them, Bijan Robinson and Matthew Judon, received a reduced workload for recreational purposes.
