When is the Abbott Health and Fitness Expo? Package Pickup, Vendors, Events – NBC Chicago

Thousands of runners will travel to Chicago this week to prepare for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, but before they can hit the course on race day, they need to pick up their packages.

The Abbott Health & Fitness Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago begins Thursday and offers runners the opportunity to pick up their packet and participant bag – and much more.

Thursday, October 10th

11 a.m. to 6 p.m

Friday, October 11th

9 a.m. to 6 p.m

Saturday, October 12th

9 a.m. to 6 p.m

What is included in the packages and participant bags?

The contents of the participant package include:

• Start number* and safety pins
• MYLAPS ThinTag timing device
• Equipment control label
• Nike participant running shirt
• Participant bag

*Registered participants aged 21 and over will receive a label attached to their start number which they can redeem for a beer after the race.

Runners will also be offered a commemorative sticker that can be placed on race numbers to honor the late world record holder Kelvin Kiptum, who won the 2023 race just months before his death in a car accident.

What else is there at the fair?

According to organizers, the fair will feature more than 160 exhibitors offering merchandise in addition to new running shoes, apparel, nutrition and technology.

The three-day expo is free and open to the public.
