She recently confirmed her single's final name and release date with an art cover that shows her leaning against a white car with her head bowed. The street is inscribed with the word “ILLNESS” in calligraphy. The graphic also includes release dates and times for multiple cities in the US, Europe, Asia and the UK.

In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, the “Bloody Mary” singer explained how her character's duality inspired her to create music for “Harlequin.”
