The relationship rumors were also sparked by the couple's actions outside the studio. Brooks and Gleb got tattoos together and even kissed in public. This was no surprise after they touched tongues during their performance at Hair Metal Night. Even though there was a real connection between Brooks and Gleb, there was a compelling feel to the way they performed.

The next day, it was announced that Jenn would be joining the 33rd season along with Sasha, who was originally supposed to be part of the squad.

On the first night, Jenn performed a heartfelt cha-cha-cha to Flowers by Miley Cyrus. Jenn received a 19 from the judges and received the same score the following week. However, in the third week, Jenn started to improve her game and received 31 out of 40 points. When comparing the two performances of the season, some differences become apparent. At first, Brooks and Gleb tried much harder to connect with each other than Jenn and Sasha.
