Why did Taylor Swift skip Travis Kelce's Chiefs game again?

Like last week, Taylor Swift will not be at Travis Kelce's football game today. While the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders, Swift will be in New Orleans preparing for her final Eras Tour show in the Louisiana city. (You can grab last-minute tickets for tonight's show here.)

But just because Swift isn't in Las Vegas in person to cheer on Kelce, she'll definitely be supporting him from afar. Last weekend, after the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers, Swift changed the lyrics in her song “Karma” and sang “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” instead of “the guy on the screen.” (Typically, Swift only changed this lyric when Kelce was in the audience.) Additionally, the game was shown on screens at Hard Rock Stadium before the show began:

Additionally, Swift wore a diamond-shaped “T” earring onstage during her Eras Tour Miami stop, perhaps as a nod to Kelce. (She first wore the earring at the 2024 Super Bowl.)

Although the final leg of the Eras Tour began this month, Swift still made time to attend three Chiefs games this season. “When you say a relationship is public, it means I will let him do what he loves. We stand up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift said in her interview Time Person of the Year Interview. “The opposite of that is that you have to go to extreme lengths to make sure no one knows you're seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

There's a chance she'll be back supporting Kelce and the Chiefs next Monday night. The Eras Tour Indianapolis takes place November 1st, 2nd and 3rd and the Chiefs play November 4th.
