Yankees fans celebrate Shohei Ohtani's injury at the Bronx Sports Bar

Some Yankees fans at a Bronx sports bar reacted with joy after seeing Shohei Ohtani get injured during Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers superstar suffered a left shoulder subluxation – a partial dislocation – and slid into second base while being caught stealing to end the seventh inning of Los Angeles' Game 2 win, which put the Yankees in a 2nd :0 hole brought as the series moved to Yankee Stadium.

Ohtani, 30, writhed in pain and was looked after by training staff.

Ohtani was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Sunday, although Dodgers manager Dave Roberts seemed optimistic after the game.

“The power was great,” Roberts said Saturday night. “The range of motion was good. So we are encouraged. But of course I can’t speculate because we don’t have the scans yet.”

Roberts also said he feels “much better” about Ohtani's status for the remainder of the World Series after initially being concerned.

Ohtani went 0-for-3 with a walk in Game 2 after going 1-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Game 1.
