Zach Bryan announces his split from stunned Brianna Chickenfry

Zach Bryan and his girlfriend Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia have broken up.

The 28-year-old country star confirmed the split with a message on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday.

“I want to address something: Brianna and I have separated and I respect and love her with all my heart,” Bryan wrote.

“She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and I will always thank her for that,” he added.

“I've had an incredibly tough year personally and have had to go through some pretty bad things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us if we took different paths. “I'm not perfect and never will be,” Bryan continued, before asking fans to respect Chickenfry's “privacy and space.”

“And if you have it in your heart, then mine too,” he said. “To all that I am and to everyone I have let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I have let down people who love me and especially myself.”

Chickenfry, 25, said in her own statement that she was “blindsided” by the split.

“Hey guys, I'm feeling really caught off guard at the moment. I'm going to stay off social media for a while and try to heal privately. When I'm ready, I'll be back and ready to talk,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

“I love you guys so much, thank you for all your kind words. “Remember that you are so loved and that everything will always be okay,” the social media star added.

Rumors of Bryan and Chickenfry's breakup surfaced on Monday after fans posted screenshots of what was believed to be Bryan's Raya account online.

Chickenfry also shared several cryptic messages before confirming the split.

One of her posts read, “Someday you'll realize that life goes on / Even if you don't want it to.”

The former couple met at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards when Chickenfry Bryan asked for a photo together. At the time, Bryan had just broken up with his girlfriend Deb Peifer. He was previously married to Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021.

Chickenfry confirmed her and Bryan's relationship on her podcast “PanBri Uncut” last July. They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Grammy Awards in February.

In May, the two nearly died in a car accident in Arkansas while on the road for Bryan's Quittin Time tour.

“There was a lot of blood and we thought we would say goodbye to each other,” Chickenfry said in a TikTok discussing the accident.

Following the incident, Bryan took to social media to share a heartfelt message with Chickenfry.

He wrote: “This lady carries the weight of everyone around her day in and day out. Through these months of touring to my degenerate ass making an album. You're my muse, Brianna, and I don't understand how the hell you can keep it together when the people around you can't,” he added. “Thank you forever and ever, no matter what.”
