Zion Williamson's alley-oop went viral in the Pelicans-Heat game

The New Orleans Pelicans play their second preseason game against the Miami Heat in Florida on Sunday afternoon.

In the first half, Zion Williamson had a big highlight that received many views on social media.

Williamson scored eight points, two rebounds, two assists and a block in his first 14 minutes while shooting 3/6 from the field.

For Pelicans fans, seeing a healthy Williamson is a nice sight.

When he's on the floor, the former Duke superstar is one of the top 20 players in the NBA.

However, he has missed 65 games over the last two years.

Williamson finished last season with averages of 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 57.0% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc in 70 games Three-point range shot.

The Pelicans were the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 49-33.

They were defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs (Williamson was injured during the series).

The Pelicans open the 2024-25 regular season on October 23 when they host Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls in New Orleans.

Williamson is entering his sixth NBA season.
